Built! This project addressed the risk of vehicles running off the road at the curve by applying a combination of solutions to slow cars down and draw driver attention to the sharp curve. It also improved pedestrian safety by adding a crosswalk with a pedestrian-activated flashing beacon to serve people walking between the existing pathway and the school. The project added multiple elements to the roadway, including signage, a speed hump, and striping. To make it easier for drivers to see the roadway, tree trimming/removal took place as needed.
